How to Re-register a club?
Beginning Monday April 12th, 2021 9:00am and ending Friday May 14th, 2021 5:00pm clubs will be allowed to re-register for the upcoming academic year. For those of you who may not be aware, registration is an online application that organizations complete every Spring semester in order to maintain their active status for the following academic year. During this time, clubs have elections to elect their new Executive Board (E-board) and complete all the necessary paperwork to transition seamlessly into the next year.
Elections should happen prior to submitting registration but can take place during the month window of registration. Elections are held to elect members for your club’s/ organization’s E-board for the Fall 2021- Spring 2022 academic year and due to remote working/learning, should take place on your Bulldog Connection portal. If you are unfamiliar with how to hold online elections, a “how to guide” can be found in the documents section in the Student Organizations Bulldog Connection page. A link is provided below:
Be sure to join as a member on the Page, in the event that the link doesn't work.
Once your organization complete their elections, you are able to move forward with registration. The link to the Registration application can be found on your Organization's page and will take the form of a BLUE BUTTON under the club's name and will say "Re-Register this Organization." After clicking on the blue button, you will be transferred to the application which has twelve steps that need to be completed. Below are some guided steps in which will help move your registration process smoothly:
Organizations must upload a digital version of the club’s constitution and if they do not have a copy, they could request a copy by emailing Hamilton.Raymond@brooklyn.cuny.edu.
Signature Cards are required, and each organization's President and Treasurer are to complete a Signature card in Central Depository located in 314 Student Center. Because we are still in a distance learning format, you will complete an acknowledgment that you must complete this should we return to campus next semester or risk your club's portal being frozen.
Each new board member will have to complete SPARC (Sexual & Interpersonal Violence Prevention And Response Course) Training. Once you have selected your new e-board members, please click on this link to input their information: http://tiny.cc/EBoardForm. Once you have completed this please email me at Hamilton.Raymond@Brooklyn.cuny.edu to let me know it has been done. Once I receive your email, I will upload your new board members into SPARC and they will be able to complete there training on their Blackboard.
Please be aware when adding or inviting members to your organization’s roster, remember that the invitation will be sent to the student’s Brooklyn College email unless the student changes their Bulldog Connection profile to their preferred email.
If you have any questions, or are confused by any aspect of registration, please feel free to email me, at Hamilton.Raymond@Brooklyn.cuny.edu.
